Dustin was born and raised just outside of Detroit, Michigan, in the USA. Growing up in the 1980’s, Dustin was exposed to great music from the 1960’s onward, as his mother would always have the stereo, a large console unit that was a central piece of lounge furniture, playing one of the local stations from the Detroit market, which happened to be one of the biggest in the country at that time.

Dustin arrived in South Africa in 2008 for the first time, and quickly fell in love with the country, the South African people, and the immense talent, especially where musicians are concerned. Dustin loves everything from rock and roll, to R&B, and can regularly be found listening to selections from a vast array of artists stemming from Diana Ross and the Supremes, to Johnny Clegg, to Tresor, Burna Boy, DJ Khalid, DJ Black Coffee, just to name a few.

When Dustin is not on air, he loves to spend time with his dog, Chewy, a 9 year old Lhasa Apso, whom he brought to South Africa from the states. Dustin loves the outdoors, and experiencing new things, and will go anywhere to find a unique adventure.
